Meet Our Team

The Land Group is a real estate brokerage that lists, sells, leases residential agricultural, and commercial real estate. We operate in the Central valley specializing in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Merced County.

Larry Weber:

Larry spent over 25 years in a variety of middle and senior management positions on a national basis in the telecommunication industry. For 11 years, he specialized in prison and jail telecommunications systems on a Federal, State, and County level. He was on the leading edge of the development of several unique emergency and mongering systems still employed in the industry today.

After retiring at 48, we collaborated with one of his son in laws to purchase a small commercial electric sign company that has grown into one of the largest such companies in the San Joaquin Valley focusing on national companies and employing over 50 people. He was recruited by an old friend and broker for Prudential California Realty, one of the largest real estate brokerages in the San Joaquin Valley at the time, to manage his commercial real estate division. Upon completion of a two year assignment in which his division achieved the top 10 percentile and sales for Prudential in the nation, he started his own brokerage, The Land Group Inc. The focus is on investor driven opportunities and management of the real estate assets while having a positive impact
on the local community.

In that vein Larry has been impetus at the land group in creating a variety of opportunity and profit model for their investor network. They have not only produced acceptable results proven by repetitive investing but also they had a positive impact on the residing communities. Located in the “ground zero” prime mortgage catastrophe and experiencing firsthand the torment and destruction of thousands of families through the foreclosure of unpayable loans, he conceived the Neighbor Helping Neighbor program. Investors purchased a qualified clients home through the short sale process under the agreement that they would lease their home until their credit was rebuilt and then they would repurchase the home at an pre-established value. The obvious moral and economic aspects of the families remain in their home and not have to leave their schools, churches and neighbors. The program eliminated the negative impact of what a foreclosure and a vacant home causes to my neighborhood and a community. In addition investors received a responsible return on a well-qualified, secure local investment.

Other investment models that Larry created:

  • Private money first trust deed loans 60 to 65% LTV, 8 to 12% interest earnings, three years to maturity. Model has been extremely successful and will continue as long as banks don’t fund such loans.
  • Family rehab, re-rent, resell, upgrading properties located in “depressed”areas.
  • New single-family subdivisions on infill properties. Active projects in Modesto, Hughson, Oakdale, and Concord.

Having been raised, educated, and residing most of his life in the Modesto area, Larry has a passion to combine the real estate development and investment activities with the improvement and strengthening of the community. He was also very active in planting to nondenominational churches in Modesto.
